Can some one please post the link to the website where you download the widgets? I'd love to try it out and see if it works on other touchwiz phones thanks in advance.

Samsung today announced its first 12-megapixel all-touch phone, the Samsung Pixon12 M8910 (specs). The phone can easily be compared to the upcoming Sony Ericsson Satio when it comes to specifications, though the latter will be a smartphone powered by Symbian S60 5th Edition.

The Samsung Pixon12 M8910 sports a dedicated camera button, and users are promised fast image saving for next shot so users can move to the next shot within around 2 seconds. The phone will also offer touch autofocus tracking, where users can select focus point with the touch of a finger, after which the AF function will automatically follow the object.

Moreover, a Smart Auto feature will automatically change the scene and mode based on its object, background and lighting. That's a popular feature on entry-level compact cameras too, though it doesn't always provide the best image quality. The image processor of the phone will ultimately decide the camera performance at the end of the day here. Rounding out the camera specs, the Samsung Pixon12 M8910 will offer a 28mm wide-angle lens and Xenon flash.

Just like the recently released Samsung S8300, the Samsung Pixon12 M8910 will boast a large AMOLED display (3.1-inch screen with a contrast ratio of 10,000:1 while providing power-saving features). There's however no word on the screen resolution, so we assume it's of the usual Wide QVGA kind (240x400 pixels).

The Samsung Pixon12 M8910 also promises easy on-board photo management with multiple ways of sorting - by tags, file names, ratings and time. In addition, a multi-selection feature enables users to pull up images in groups rather than one by one. For image and video sharing, the Samsung Pixon12 M8910 will offer the Samsung Share Pix application. It'll let users upload social networking sites such as Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, MySpace, Photobucket and Friendster.

In the connectivity department, the Samsung Pixon12 M8910 boasts Wi-Fi, HSDPA/HSUPA and Bluetooth. It'll operate on Quadband GSM networks, when released in European countries in late June 2009. Samsung promises that the phone will appear in other markets in August, but there's no specific mention of the North American market.

T-Mobile just recently released the Samsung Memoir 8-megapixel cameraphone, which along with the Motorola Zine ZN5, are the cameraphone kings when it comes to U.S. carrier phones. There are rumors suggesting that AT&T will offer the Sony Ericsson Cyber-Shot C905 8-megapixel phone soon, so perhaps the carriers will consider the new 12-megapixel cameraphones that are coming out too. We'll just have to wait and see.

Fortunately, the Pixon's 12-megapixel claim to greatness, which guarantees you nothing at all except for the industry's largest file sizes, is complemented by some decent specs, starting with a 3.1" AMOLED touchscreen, 3G and FM radio.

Obviously, though, the flash-equipped camera is the star of the show here, and while relentless megapixel one-upmanship is fruitless and annoying, the Pixon looks like it'll be a decent pocket shooter despite its narrow obsession. Touch autofocus lets you choose a focal point with a finger tap, after which the camera will automatically keep focus on its subject. Shooting speed is quicker than average, clocking in at about two seconds per shot. A bevy of online photo services are supported out of the box, and video recording, though not HD, records at a respectable 720 x 480.

The 150MB internal storage is glaringly weak for a camera-centric phone, though I suspect, as is usually the case, that carriers will bundle SD cards when the Pixon finally goes on sale, which will be in June in Europe, and August elsewhere—though not necessarily here. Sorry, Idou! [OLED Info and Akihabara News]

After failing to show at the Mobile World Congress event in February, Samsung's rumored 12 megapixel cameraphone has finally arrived. Meet the Pixon 12 and its 3.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a Sammy promise of fast shutter speeds and quick browsing. As a camera, the Pixon 12 (M8910) brings a dedicated shutter button, touch auto-focus (wherever you touch becomes the focal point) that locks in to track moving subjects, Smart Auto mode that adjusts to conditions, and a 28-mm wide angle lens. The unit also saves images relatively quickly (for a cameraphone) so that you can fire off the next shot within 2 seconds. Just remember, more megapixels do not make for better photos especially when jammed tightly into a sensor small enough for a cellphone. And 12 megapixels translates to files ranging from 2MB to 18MB and beyond depending on the compression used (Samsung doesn't say). So ask yourself: is it really worth the storage space and the associated delays when uploading images to Samsung's Share Pix service (with Facebook, Picasa, Flickr integration) over the Pixon 12's built-in WiFi and HSUPA data? No rush, you've got time to decide -- Pixon 12 will be hitting Europe in late June, other regions sometime in August. One more pic after the break.

Update: Full specs just came in: 150MB of on-board storage (up to 16GB MicroSD expansion); quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, HSPA 900/2100MHz; Xenon + Power LED flash; 720 x 480 pixel videos at 30fps; internal GPS, and FM radio with RDS.
